Telehealth
Telehealth Allied Health Services Across Australia
Allied Health 2U's telehealth allied health services make it easy to access professional support from anywhere in Australia via secure video or phone appointments (and, where appropriate, telephone). It’s a flexible option for people with busy schedules, limited transport, mobility challenges, or those who simply prefer care from the comfort of home.
Our clinicians deliver personalised, evidence-based care across our full range of services, including Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Counselling, Behaviour Support, and Podiatry. Telehealth appointments follow the same professional standards as in-person care, with clear assessment, goal-setting, and practical strategies you can use straight away.
Telehealth may also support progress reviews, home programs, education for families and support teams, and written recommendations where appropriate. If you’re unsure whether telehealth is suitable for your needs, we can guide you to the best service option.
Telehealth offers convenient access to care without travel time, making it easier to book appointments consistently and fit support into everyday life. It can also make it simpler for family members, carers, or support workers to join sessions when helpful. For many clients, telehealth improves follow-through on strategies because support is delivered in a real-life setting.
Some private health insurers provide rebates for eligible allied health services under “extras” cover, including telehealth. Coverage varies by fund and policy, so we recommend checking with your insurer to confirm eligibility, required item/provider details, and the rebate amount.
If you have a GP referral under a Medicare-supported plan (such as a GP Management Plan with allied health referrals), you may be eligible for rebates for certain services—telehealth eligibility depends on current Medicare rules and your referral details.
NDIS participants can generally use plan funding for allied health supports (including telehealth) when it aligns with their goals and is considered reasonable and necessary. If you’re unsure, our team can help you understand the most suitable pathway for your circumstances.
