Support at Home and Aged Care for Independence and Wellbeing

Support at Home & Aged Care at Allied Health 2U provides practical allied health support to help older adults stay safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible. We deliver services in your home or within aged care settings (where available), focusing on real-life goals like mobility, falls prevention, daily living skills, pain management, and overall wellbeing.

Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, routines, and environment. Sessions may include assessment, hands-on support, personalised strategies, home programs, and recommendations to make everyday tasks easier and safer.

Whether you’re looking for support to remain living at home, recover after illness or injury, or maintain function and confidence over time, we’ll work with you (and your family or care team) to create a clear plan and meaningful progress.

What are the benefits of Support at Home & Aged Care?

This service helps you maintain independence and safety in everyday life. It can support mobility and balance, reduce falls risk, improve confidence with daily tasks, manage pain and fatigue, and provide practical strategies that fit your home or care environment. Family members and carers can also be included so everyone is consistent with the same supports and routines.

Can I use private health insurance for Support at Home & Aged Care services?

Some private health funds provide rebates for eligible allied health services under “extras” cover. Coverage and rebate amounts vary by fund and policy, so we recommend checking with your insurer to confirm what is included, whether a referral is required, and what rebate you may receive.

What about aged care funding, Medicare EPC, and NDIS coverage (Australian clients only)?

Depending on your circumstances, support may be accessed through different pathways. Aged care funding options may be available for eligible clients, and Medicare-supported referrals (such as allied health referrals under a GP plan) may apply for certain services. NDIS participants can generally use plan funding for allied health supports when it aligns with goals and is considered reasonable and necessary. If you’re unsure which option applies, our team can help you understand the most suitable pathway.
