Mobile counselling involves a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist to meet with you for face-to-face sessions. We are able to come to your home or meet you at a private consultation room. It is important to take time out for yourself in order to avoid that feeling of overwhelming stress and anxiety.
Our professionals are trained in helping you work through a variety of different issues such as:
- Grief and Loss
- Workplace Conflict
- Group Therapy
- Marriage and Relationship Counselling (Friends/Couples/Families)
What to Expect in sessions
In the first session the client and therapist run through the areas of confidentiality and introduce each other. The therapist will then take the time to understand your situation and begin the therapeutic relationship with you.
It is entirely up to you about what you wish to talk about. Some people like to catch up on or update the therapist on their issue since the last session, whereas others like to talk about different and new things bothering them. An important part to remember is that along the way the counsellor will work alongside you as equals, imparting skills that assist you to enrich your life. A therapist will never tell you what to do.
Sessions run for one hour. Depending on the nature of the discussions, sessions can continue over short or long periods of time. The average number of sessions we see individuals for is between 4-5.
