Mobile Speech Therapy
Allied Health 2U helps children, adolescents, and adults access expert speech pathology for communication, language, speech, social interaction, and everyday functional skills. We work with a trusted partner speech pathology provider and coordinate the referral, so therapy can happen in the environment that best supports progress, whether that is at home, in childcare, preschool, primary or high school, or another suitable community setting. Telehealth may also be available where appropriate, and we keep it joined up with the rest of a participant's allied health team.

Speech pathology works best when it starts with a clear picture of a child's strengths, needs, and goals, then builds a tailored plan with practical strategies for everyday communication and learning. The partner speech pathologists we coordinate with work closely with parents, carers, educators, and other professionals to keep therapy consistent across home and school. Where required, they can provide reports and recommendations to support funding and planning, including for the NDIS, and Allied Health 2U helps coordinate it alongside any Occupational Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, or Psychology a participant receives with us.

Yes. Therapy can often be delivered at school, preschool, or childcare when it supports the child's goals and the setting is appropriate. The partner speech pathologists we coordinate with work collaboratively with families and educators so strategies are reinforced day to day. Some schools and centres have specific procedures, such as consent forms, sign‑in requirements, and documentation, and our team can help coordinate this and communicate with the school as needed.
For young children, the team often spans several disciplines. Allied Health 2U provides Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and Positive Behaviour Support in‑house, and coordinates speech pathology through our partner provider, so the supports around a child work together rather than in isolation.

Does Allied Health 2U provide speech pathology directly?
Not in-house. We work with a trusted partner speech pathology provider and coordinate the referral on behalf of the participant and their family or Support Coordinator. Alongside that, we deliver the allied health that often supports communication goals, including Occupational Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, and Psychology, so the supports work together.
What can speech pathology help with?
Communication and swallowing, including speech sounds, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and augmentative and alternative communication. For children, it can support language delays, speech sound difficulties, autism, and developmental needs.
Can speech pathology be delivered at school, preschool, or home?

How does the referral work?
Contact Allied Health 2U with the participant's details and goals. We confirm what is needed, coordinate the referral with our partner speech pathology provider, and keep it aligned with any other allied health a participant receives with us.
Is speech pathology covered by the NDIS?
For eligible participants, speech pathology is generally funded under Capacity Building, and the speech pathologist can provide reports to support funding and planning. Your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager can confirm what a particular plan covers.
