Mobile Behaviour Therapy
Allied Health 2U is a registered NDIS organisation for behaviour support, providing mobile behaviour therapy through the NDIS support categories, including Improved Relationships.
Mobile behaviour therapy involves working with NDIS participants where behaviour actually happens: in the family home, at school, in the workplace, in the community, or in supported accommodation. By delivering behaviour therapy in these settings, our practitioners assess triggers, environmental factors, and family dynamics that simply do not appear in a clinic, leading to more accurate assessments and stronger behaviour support plans.
Mobile behaviour support practitioners are individuals who provide behaviour support, behaviour support interventions, and have a background in a mental health related profession such as Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, or mental health Occupational Therapy.
Mobile behaviour therapists are part of the assessment of individuals who require behaviour therapy, provide behaviour support interventions to assist those around the individuals who have behaviours of concern to be able to better support them.
Our mobile behaviour support practitioners work closely with our Occupational Therapists and mobile Psychologists. Specifically, our mobile behaviour practitioners work most closely with our mental health Occupational Therapists.
Our behaviour support practitioners are registed and qualified to provide the following supports:
- Behaviour Assessment Reports
- Behaviour Assessment
- Behaviour Inetervention
- Behaviour Support plans
There are a range of behaviours of concern that behaviour support therapists can assist with.
There are a range of different behaviours of concern. Below are the mind kinds:
- Hurting themselves
- Hurting others
- Breaking things
- Refusing to do things
- Hiding away from other people
- Doing things that other do not like for example a person may scream or swear or take their clothes off
A behaviour support pracititioner will initially come out to see the individual who requires behaviour support interventions and/or a behaviour support plan.
The first step involves the behaviour support practitioner completing a thorough assessment to assess the individuals behaviours and noting down all behaviours of concern. The behaviour support practitioner will communicate with the participant directly as well as other who the participant spends greatest time with.
Once the behaviours of concern have been identified, the behaviour support practitioner will identify assessments that those around the individuals who has the behaviours of concern can complete.
The behaviour support practitioners will then complete a behaviour assessment report which will details all the relevant behaviour of concern. After completing the behaviour assessment report then behaviour support practitioner will complete a behaviour support plan which will provide guidance on how to best assist/manage the behaviours of concern.

- There may be something about the individuals environment that they do not like such as it is too noisy or quite, it may be too hot or cold, there are bad smells around, they can not get somewhere or reach something, there may be too many people around or they may be bored.
Mobile Behaviour Therapy and Positive Behaviour Support
As an NDIS provider, our mobile behaviour support practitioners at Allied Health 2U have the skills and experience to provide behaviour assessment reports and behaviour support plans, plus behaviour therapy to participants on the NDIS. Our mobile allied health professionals can assist NDIS participants to help meet their goals around independence, participation in the community, and overall wellbeing, all delivered where progress actually happens.
How Mobile Behaviour Therapy works
Mobile behaviour therapy is delivered in four connected stages. Each step happens in the environments where the participant actually lives, learns, and moves, so the plan reflects real life.
In-environment assessment
Our practitioner visits the home, school, or community setting to observe routines, triggers, and the broader environment, gathering information that is impossible to capture in a clinic.
Behaviour assessment report
A clear, NDIS-aligned report sets out what is happening, why, and what evidence-based strategies will support the participant going forward.
Behaviour support plan
A practical, person-centred plan built around the participant's goals and the people who support them. Where restrictive practices exist, the plan sets out a clear pathway to reduce them.
Implementation and review
We work directly with families and support workers to put the plan into practice, then review and adjust as the participant progresses. Telehealth keeps the plan moving between in-person visits.
